Mission Statement
Our Mission
The De La Salle School is a Catholic Middle School in the Diocese of Rockville Centre that shares in the Lasallian heritage and exists to provide a quality education for young men from economically disadvantaged circumstances. We nurture each student’s growth, spiritually, academically, socially and physically in collaboration with his parent(s) and guardian(s). We emphasize respect, responsibility, leadership and service, thereby preparing the young men to be caring citizens of the world.
Our Foundation
Built upon the pillars of respect, responsibility, leadership, and service, our school’s foundation is solidified by the Catholic and Lasallian values we uphold and the principles we embody. These pillars serve as the bedrock of our educational philosophy, guiding our interactions, decisions, and aspirations.
Our Commitment
We are committed to nurturing the holistic development of every De La Salle Gentlemen entrusted to our care. This commitment extends beyond the classroom, encompassing spiritual, academic, social, and physical growth. Through collaborative efforts with parents and guardians, we strive to create an environment where each student can flourish and reach their fullest potential.
Our Engagement
Embracing our role as active participants in our broader communities, we pledge to engage with the world around us with open hearts and minds. We recognize the interconnectedness of our local, national, and global communities and seek to contribute positively to their well-being through meaningful dialogue, service initiatives, and advocacy efforts.
Our Path
Our care, love, support, and commitment to our young men does not stop at 8th grade graduation. Through our Graduate Support Program, alumni of the school continue to be guided, advocated for, and empowered throughout high school, college, career, and adult life, being taught important life skills for lifelong success. Once a De La Salle Gentleman, always a De La Salle Gentleman.
