Board of Trustees
Leadership and Governance
The Board of Trustees at The De La Salle School holds the ultimate responsibility for the well-being and strategic direction of the school. Members are nominated by the Committee on Trustees and elected by the full Board. Each member is selected for their unique talents, experiences, and commitment to the school’s mission and values. Their collective knowledge and active involvement in the school’s activities ensure the continued growth and success of our institution.
The full Board convenes four times a year on campus to receive updates from various committees and the program directors at the school. These meetings are vital for discussing and guiding the school’s policies, financial health, and long-term planning. Through their dedicated service, the Board of Trustees upholds the legacy and heritage of The De La Salle School, ensuring that we continue to nurture our students’ spiritual, academic, social, and physical development.
Main Areas of Responsibility
1. Appointment of the Executive Director
The Board delegates all administrative functions to the Principal, ensuring that the daily operations align with the school’s mission and values. The Principal’s leadership is crucial in maintaining the high standards of education and care at The De La Salle School.
2. Finances
The Board sets the annual budget, authorizes fundraising activities, and ensures that the school operates within its financial limits. They are also responsible for the proper management of The De La Salle School’s endowment funds, guaranteeing the school’s financial health and sustainability.
3. Policy Making
The Board determines the school’s objectives and ensures that these objectives are met effectively. They establish policies that guide the school’s direction and oversee their implementation to ensure that The De La Salle School fulfills its mission to provide a quality education and nurture the growth of each student.
